I am reading ‘Body Mind Balancing’ by an incredibly wise man named Osho. I feel that he thinks outside the box and has delightful and refreshing perspectives on things.
Osho says: ‘The first step is you are you’. (In my book pg. 88)
He gets me thinking:
You are you – therefore unique.
You are you – unique, therefore irreplaceable.
You are you – irreplicable therefore exclusive.
You are you – exclusive, therefore beyond value.
A gift that cannot be given.
A gift that can only give of and by itself.
A gift that can never be owned, except by itself- and even then – probably not ever
completely (since we are all evolving all the time).
A treasure that can only be polished and shine from within.
The inner luminosity is like a pearl in the shell. Irritants have got in; a defense mechanism has been activated. The scraping degradation has been softened, tamed, smoothed, dealt with naturally and efficiently. The pearl is the same stuff as the lining, but more valuable,
because a major cause of distress and damage has been overcome. The result is a feat of nature and wisdom.
